Laura Mitchell is an experienced art and design professional currently working as a freelance designer and illustrator. For the past several years she has worked within the Publishing Industry designing and art directing both fiction and nonfiction children’s titles, ranging from PreK–YA. Prior to working in Publishing, Laura was an Art Consultant and Gallery Director at a Contemporary Art Gallery downtown Minneapolis. Laura’s goal is to enhance the community through her work and the work of her collaborators–wherever that lands her. On the rare occasion Laura isn’t designing, studying illustration or hanging art, she can be found sipping a mojito while playing a game of backyard darts with her husband and Great Dane, Georgie.
